Who we are

At the heart of our work is a deep and unwavering commitment to the well-being, safety, and empowerment of children, youth, and families in our community. We are a dedicated team of professionals, support workers, cultural leaders, and community partners who work together to protect children from harm, strengthen family bonds, and nurture healing and hope—guided by the core values of safety, self-determination, cultural integrity, and continuous reflection.

Our mission is to deliver compassionate, culturally grounded services that honor the wisdom and resilience of families while providing the tools they need to thrive. We serve families through a wide range of programs, including child protection, emergency response, family reunification and preservation, addictions support, treatment services, youth care, and more.

Our Approach

We believe in walking alongside families with empathy and respect, not just during times of crisis but throughout their journey of growth and healing. Our approach is:

  • Child-centered and family-focused, always working to keep families together whenever possible.

  • Culturally informed, integrating traditional teachings, elder guidance, and community values into our services.

  • Collaborative, bringing together social workers, caregivers, elders, and community partners to develop personalized, strengths-based support plans.

  • Solution-oriented, focusing on long-term well-being, stability, and independence.

What We Do

We provide a comprehensive network of services to meet the diverse needs of the families we serve:

  • Child Abuse Prevention: Proactive outreach, education, and support to prevent harm before it happens.

  • Emergency Response and Placement: Immediate, compassionate care and safe temporary housing for children and families facing urgent life events.

  • Family Preservation and Reunification: Intensive in-home support, counseling, and case management to keep families together or reunite them safely.

  • Addiction and Treatment Services: Holistic programs that address substance abuse and mental health challenges with ongoing aftercare support.

  • Child and Youth Care: Trauma-informed care, mentoring, and life skills development for children and adolescents navigating difficult experiences.

  • Supported Independent Living: Guidance and structured support for young adults transitioning into adulthood and independent life.

  • Referrals and Community Connections: Linking families to trusted external resources, services, and programs to enhance long-term success.

  • Pre-Placement Services: Risk-focused planning and community collaboration to avoid the need for out-of-home care whenever possible.

  • Family Resource Services: Through the Resource Family Approval Program, we help caring individuals and families become foster caregivers, guardians, or adoptive parents for children in need.

Why We Do It

We believe that every child deserves to grow up in a safe, loving, and culturally connected environment—and that every family has the potential to thrive with the right support. Whether facing a moment of crisis or working toward a better future, we’re here to walk with our families every step of the way.

Through our work, we strive not only to protect and uplift—but to inspire healing, foster independence, and build stronger, more resilient communities for generations to come.
